Gitea communications happens on discord

Bonjour,

It appears most of the communication is on discord and GitHub issues, not on the forum not via email. There has been messages on discord suggesting you get an invitation to become a maintainer from existing maintainers if they like your pull requests and contributions. The invitation is in a private discussion and I do not have the details of what happens next.

We have reached out via email to invite maintainers when users don’t have discord, but generally yeah mostly happens via Discord.

Once a user is invited, if they do wish to become a maintainer they’ll be requested to send a PR to the maintainers file, and once approved(2 maintainers need to +1) and merged then an owner will give them maintainer permissions to the repo/chat.
